PromptPin

Privacy Policy

PromptPin is designed as a local-first Chrome extension. NHR Soft does not run a PromptPin cloud database, does not sell prompt data, and does not use PromptPin data for advertising.

Overview

PromptPin helps users save, organize, reuse, export, and back up AI prompts. PromptPin stores prompt library data in the user's browser by default. Google Drive is used only when the user chooses to sign in and create or restore an encrypted backup.

Data Stored Locally

PromptPin may store the following information in Chrome extension storage on the user's device:

  • check_circleSaved prompts, prompt titles, prompt bodies, tags, sections, and pinned state.
  • check_circlePrompt edit history used by the extension's history feature.
  • check_circleExtension preferences such as theme, section order, and interface settings.

This local data is controlled by the user's browser. Removing the extension or clearing Chrome extension storage may remove it.

Google Sign-In and Drive Backup

PromptPin uses Google sign-in only for optional backup and restore. The extension requests the Google Drive app data scope:

https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.appdata

This scope lets PromptPin create and read files in its hidden app-specific Google Drive storage area. PromptPin does not request access to all Drive files, does not read the user's visible Drive documents, and does not place backups in the normal Drive file list.

Encrypted Backup Content

When the user creates a Drive backup, PromptPin builds an export bundle from the selected scope and encrypts it locally before upload. The backup may include prompts, sections, tags, metadata, and export timestamps.

PromptPin uses password-based encryption for backups. NHR Soft does not receive the backup password and cannot recover encrypted backups if the password is lost.

Data Not Collected by NHR Soft

  • blockNHR Soft does not collect or store prompt library contents on NHR Soft servers.
  • blockNHR Soft does not sell, rent, or share PromptPin user data for advertising.
  • blockPromptPin does not use third-party advertising SDKs.
  • blockPromptPin does not read unrelated Google Drive files.

Permissions

PromptPin may request Chrome permissions needed for the extension features:

storage

Stores prompt library data and settings locally.

identity

Allows Google sign-in for optional Drive backup and restore.

activeTab and scripting

Support quick insert actions on the active tab when initiated by the user.

contextMenus

Provides browser menu shortcuts for PromptPin actions.

User Choices

Users can export selected PromptPin data, delete prompts inside the extension, remove local extension storage, sign out of Google Drive backup, and revoke Google access from their Google Account permissions page.
