ReadEase

Privacy Policy

ReadEase is designed so your reading stays on your device. NHR Soft does not run analytics, track you, sell data, or collect page content from the extension.

Effective date: July 27, 2026

Overview

ReadEase helps make web pages easier to read by adjusting text presentation, reducing distractions, keeping the current line visible, and reading selected text aloud. Core settings and per-site preferences are stored locally through Chrome storage.

What ReadEase stores

ReadEase stores settings such as fonts, size, line spacing, letter spacing, word spacing, reading width, background tint, ruler mode, calm mode, clean view preferences, color tools, voice preferences, shortcuts, and per-site overrides.

API keys

If you choose to use optional Google Cloud voices or the optional AI simplify feature, any API key you enter is stored locally on your device with Chrome storage. NHR Soft does not receive or store those keys.

What NHR Soft does not collect

ReadEase does not collect browsing history, page content, personal information, analytics, telemetry, crash reports, advertising identifiers, or behavioral profiles.

Optional features that send data

Cloud text-to-speech, AI simplify, and double-click dictionary are optional and user-triggered. They send only the specific text or word you ask them to process to the selected provider. If you do not use those features, page text does not leave your browser for those services.

Children

ReadEase is a general-purpose accessibility tool and does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children. The product is designed to avoid NHR Soft data collection altogether.

Deletion

You can change or clear settings inside the extension, clear Chrome extension storage, or remove ReadEase from Chrome. Removing the extension deletes its local extension storage from that Chrome profile.
